We're Hiring: Structural Engineer (Qualified / Professional Level) | UAE
A leading construction and development organisation in the UAE is looking for a qualified Structural Engineer to join its engineering team on a range of residential, commercial and mixed-use projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete and steel structures, including foundations, podiums, basements, slabs, columns, shear walls and transfer elements
- Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, BBS and technical specifications
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, geotechnical consultants and project teams to resolve design clashes
- Obtain structural approvals from municipality and authorities, and respond to their comments
- Review contractor shop drawings, method statements and design changes, and support value engineering
- Provide technical support to site teams on structural queries, RFIs and non-conformance issues
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, safety standards and quality procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's in Structural Engineering preferred), with an attested degree
- 6 –10years of relevant structural design experience, with a minimum of 5 years in the UAE
- Professional accreditation: Society of Engineers UAE (SEU) membership, or chartered status (ICE / IStructE / PE), is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of ACI 318, Eurocodes, BS standards, AISC, and UAE municipality and local authority requirements
- Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, Tekla or Robot, plus AutoCAD and Revit
- Proven experience with mid-rise and high-rise buildings, including post-tensioned slabs and steel framing
- Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
