Role Description The Elevator and Escalator Technician will work on-site in Beirut under a contract arrangement, performing installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of elevators, escalators, and associated control systems. Daily tasks include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, conducting routine preventive maintenance, and replacing or repairing faulty components to ensure safe and reliable operation. The technician will test equipment performance, document work performed, and follow safety protocols and local regulations. The role also involves coordinating with supervisors, building management, and other technicians to schedule work, minimize downtime, and respond to service calls. Accurate recordkeeping, adherence to technical manuals, and continuous learning about new vertical transportation technologies are essential.
Qualifications * Strong elevator and escalator technical skills, including experience with Elevators and Elevator Maintenance.
* Proficiency in maintenance operations, covering Maintenance & Repair for mechanical and electronic components.
* Ability to troubleshoot complex systems, with proven Troubleshooting skills for both mechanical and electrical faults.
Solid understanding of Electricity, including safe work practices, wiring, and control systems relevant to vertical transportation.
* Previous experience as an elevator or escalator technician, or in a closely related field.
* Vocational or technical diploma in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent training.
* Knowledge of safety standards and regulations for vertical transportation equipment.
* Capability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
* Physical ability to work in shafts, machine rooms, and confined spaces, and to handle tools and equipment safely.
* Reliable communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and building stakeholders.
