Role Description The Procurement Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Saida El Oustani. This position is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers, requesting and comparing quotations, and issuing purchase orders for materials and services needed for contracting projects. The Procurement Officer will review and negotiate contract terms, monitor supplier performance, and ensure timely delivery in line with project schedules and budget requirements. Daily tasks include maintaining procurement records, analyzing purchasing data, coordinating with project managers and site teams, and aligning procurement decisions with company policies and compliance standards. The role also involves continuously identifying opportunities to optimize costs, improve supplier relationships, and strengthen procurement processes.
Qualifications
- Strong procurement and purchasing skills, with experience managing end-to-end purchasing cycles.
- Ability to prepare, review, and manage purchase orders in alignment with project and budget requirements.
- Experience in contract negotiation, including evaluating terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers.
- Analytical skills to assess quotations, compare supplier offers, and support data-driven procurement decisions.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices in construction or contracting environments is an advantage.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with project teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints.
- Proficiency with basic office software and ERP or procurement systems is beneficial.
- Relevant diploma or degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a procurement or purchasing role within contracting or construction is a plus.
