Role Description The Assistant Restaurant Manager (Experience in Italian Cuisine) is a full-time, on-site role based in Achrafieh. This position supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality food and beverage service, and maintaining a welcoming, guest-focused atmosphere. Responsibilities include supervising front-of-house staff, coordinating with the kitchen team on Italian menu execution, managing reservations and guest inquiries, and monitoring service standards throughout shifts. The role involves assisting with inventory control, ordering supplies, tracking costs, and helping manage cash handling and basic reporting. The Assistant Restaurant Manager also contributes to staff training, scheduling, and performance feedback, promoting a positive, collaborative work environment aligned with Spectrum Hospitality Group’s values.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, including traditional dishes, ingredients, and service styles, with prior experience in an Italian restaurant or similar concept.
- Restaurant operations skills, including staff supervision, shift management, table service coordination, and basic budgeting or cost control.
- Guest service and communication skills, with the ability to handle guest feedback, resolve issues professionally, and maintain a warm, inclusive atmosphere.
- Team leadership and collaboration skills, including experience in coaching staff, supporting training initiatives, and fostering a respectful work culture.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in scheduling, inventory, and compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant management; experience in busy urban locations is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by restaurant operations.
- Proficiency in English; Arabic and additional languages are considered a plus.
- Formal hospitality or culinary education is an asset but not mandatory if supported by strong relevant experience.
