Responsible for conducting detailed Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for critical activities such as transformer installation, cable pulling, and switchyard gantry erection to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Manage and audit the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system, ensuring that all personnel are properly authorized before entering energized or restricted areas. Strictly enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure equipment is de-energized and safe for installation, maintenance, or testing activities. Oversee electrical safety compliance by ensuring that all tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE), including arc-rated clothing and insulated gloves, meet voltage requirements and are properly inspected and tested. Verify the correct application of temporary grounding and earthing systems during construction to prevent accidental energization. Monitor excavation and trenching activities associated with grounding grid installation, ensuring proper shoring, utility detection, and safe work practices are followed. Conduct site-specific safety inductions for employees, contractors, and visitors, lead daily toolbox talks focusing on high-risk activities, and carry out incident and near-miss investigations using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies to identify corrective and preventive actions, ensuring continuous improvement in site safety performance.
