Why choose Eneco? At Eneco, proprietary trading plays a meaningful role in accelerating the energy transition. You’ll be part of a commercially sharp and well‑governed trading environment where market expertise is used to support a sustainable energy system — today and in the future.
You join an organisation where responsibility and ownership are central. Decisions are data‑driven, market‑focused and taken close to the action, giving you the autonomy to act while operating within a clear risk framework.
You’ll work closely with experienced traders, analysts and risk professionals who challenge each other and raise the bar together. Strong performance is recognised and rewarded, with clear accountability for outcomes.
Most importantly, Eneco offers the space to bring ideas, take calculated risks and make a real impact — both on trading performance and on the broader energy transition.
What You’ll DoYou identify, develop and execute proprietary trading opportunities across global gas markets, with a clear focus on Asian LNG (JKM) and North American natural gas (Henry Hub). Using a deep understanding of fundamentals, market dynamics and cross-market linkages, you translate insights into actionable trades that generate consistent P&L.
As a Senior Gas Trader, you design, implement and manage end‑to‑end trading strategies. You take meaningful positions with confidence, actively manage risk and handle drawdowns with discipline and professionalism. Your decisions balance commercial ambition with robust risk management.
You operate independently while remaining closely aligned with the broader trading desk. By sharing insights, challenging views and contributing to desk-wide objectives, you help strengthen the overall performance and strategic ambitions of the proprietary trading team.
