Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Design Review & Coordination: Review, analyze, and refine architectural concept designs, working drawings, and detailed shop drawings to ensure technical feasibility and aesthetic alignment with the Sham View project vision.
- Technical Oversight: Supervise the preparation of construction documents, specifications, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) related to architectural scope.
- Interdisciplinary Coordination: Coordinate closely with Structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and Infrastructure engineering teams to resolve design conflicts and integration challenges.
- Contractor & Consultant Management: Collaborate with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to clarify architectural queries (RFIs), evaluate submittals, and approve material samples.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all architectural designs adhere to local building codes, municipal regulations, and safety standards applicable in Damascus.
- Progress Reporting: Prepare regular technical reports, progress updates, and design review summaries for senior management and project directors.
Skills
equired Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Architectural Engineering.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of professional experience in architectural engineering, with a proven track record in large-scale residential/commercial developments.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), 3ds Max/V-Ray, Lumion, and MS Office.
- Strong knowledge of building materials, finishing techniques, and construction methodologies.
- In-depth understanding of local building codes and municipal authority procedures in Syria.
- Native/Fluent Arabic and strong professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Strong leadership, project coordination, and decision-making capabilities.
- High attention to technical detail and quality control.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight project deadlines.
