Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect, extract, clean, and normalize project controls data (cost, budget hours, schedule, and resources) from multiple sources.
- Maintain the live operating projects list and support the Projects Performance Report/Dashboard (CPPR) for all operating projects.
- Develop and update Power BI reports and dashboards for management and project teams, in line with the section's reporting standards.
- Maintain and update data models, including fact and dimension tables, relationships, and DAX measures, including specialty-based resource utilization data.
- Support the Standard Budget-Hours Database through project classification, data extraction and normalization, and statistical analysis, coordinating with Engineering, Proposals, and the Central Function team for validation.
- Support the centralized Projects Cost Database by applying validation rules, structuring cost, quantity, and procurement datasets, and supporting user interface testing with IT.
- Automate recurring data preparation and reporting tasks using Power Query, VBA, or other suitable tools.
- Perform data quality checks for accuracy, consistency, and completeness; flag and help resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare periodic reports and summaries, and document data sources, definitions, and procedures.
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor's degree in data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2-4 years' experience in data analysis and reporting, preferably in a project controls, engineering, or construction environment.
- Hands-on experience building Power BI reports and dashboards, including Power Query, data modeling, and DAX measures is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, pivot tables, lookups); VBA and SQL. are a plus.
- Experience cleaning, normalizing, and validating data from multiple sources.
- Understanding of project controls concepts (budget hours, cost, schedule, resources) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
