About The JobAn opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Specialist – Procurement to join Jumeirah Jabal Omar.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
- Manage procurement activities for goods and services in line with operational requirements, approved budgets, and company policies.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, obtain quotations, and support price and commercial negotiations to achieve best value.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure all procurement documentation is complete, accurate, and properly approved.
- Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor open purchase orders, delivery timelines, and pending requirements, and follow up on any delays or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate supplier records, quotations, contracts, and procurement-related documentation.
- Support supplier performance reviews and assist in identifying reliable and cost-effective sourcing options.
- Ensure all procurement activities are fully compliant with Jumeirah’s internal procurement policies, approval processes, delegated authorities, and applicable procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit readiness for procurement transactions in accordance with internal control requirements.
About YouThe ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Previous experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong negotiation, sourcing, and supplier management skills.
- Good organisational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Good understanding of procurement compliance, internal controls, and approval procedures.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in English & Arabic (verbal & written).
