MEP Project Engineer
Role Description
The MEP Project Engineer role is a full-time, site-based position. The MEP Project Engineer will support the planning, coordination, execution, testing, and handover of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works for building and infrastructure projects. The role will ensure that MEP installations are delivered in line with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, quality requirements, and applicable safety standards.
Responsibilities include reviewing MEP drawings, specifications, BOQs, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements; identifying clashes, omissions, and constructability issues; and coordinating technical resolutions with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and the site project team. The MEP Project Engineer will monitor site progress, inspect works, verify material compliance, and support testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover activities.
The role involves close coordination among mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire and life-safety, ELV, civil, structural, and architectural disciplines. The MEP Project Engineer will provide technical input to the Project Manager, support procurement and planning activities, prepare progress reports and technical trackers, and contribute to the timely resolution of site issues and design coordination matters.
