ABOUT QUICKBLOCK
QUICKBLOCK is an innovative and scaling Scottish business providing rapidly deployable modular infrastructure across a range of sectors including defence and security, humanitarian and disaster relief, construction, events and agriculture. With a highly adaptable product platform and growing international customer base, defence and security have become the principal focus for the next stage of the company’s growth.
Headquartered in Stirling, Scotland, and led by CEO Andrew Vincent, QUICKBLOCK is at an exciting stage in its development. Andrew has led the commercialisation and growth of the business as it has increasingly focused on defence and international markets, supported by an experienced Board and investor base.
Having established its product and built a growing customer base in the UK and Europe, QUICKBLOCK is now focused on scaling internationally, with Germany, Poland and the Nordics identified as key growth markets.
At the heart of the business is QUICKBLOCK’s innovative flat-packed, interlocking building system. Lightweight, reusable and highly adaptable, the system enables structures to be assembled quickly without specialist tools or permanent construction and can be dismantled and reconfigured as requirements change. Within defence and security, QUICKBLOCK is used to create military and police training environments, the ability to rapidly create and adapt realistic training scenarios provides customers with a flexible and cost-effective alternative to traditional fixed infrastructure.
THE OPPORTUNITY
QUICKBLOCK is looking to accelerate its commercial development across Germany, Poland and the Nordics, where increased defence investment and demand for flexible training solutions are creating significant opportunities. The European Business Development Lead will take ownership of developing these markets, combining direct engagement with military and security customers with the management and development of regional agents and partners. A key focus will be to convert existing market activity into contracted revenue and progress from individual unit-level sales towards larger, more strategic opportunities. Reporting directly to the CEO Andrew Vincent, the role offers considerable autonomy to shape QUICKBLOCK’s European commercial approach, establish a sustainable presence across the region and play an important part in the company’s next phase of growth.
THE ROLE
This is a hands-on commercial role requiring an entrepreneurial mindset, with the successful candidate expected to create structure, build momentum and take ownership for developing and converting opportunities across the region. Operating as a senior individual contributor, they will spend significant time in-market, engaging military and procurement stakeholders, supporting demonstrations and trials, and managing and developing the QUICKBLOCK agents, distributors and partners strategy. The role requires independence, commercial discipline and a willingness to get hands-on, without relying on the infrastructure of a larger corporate environment.
