Job Summary:
To maintain, troubleshoot, repair and improve SCPs production and packaging equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation with minimum unplanned downtime. The position is responsible for preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance while maintaining GMP, safety, documentation and equipment-compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, corrective, predictive/condition-based and breakdown maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults, identify root causes and restore equipment safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic and basic electrical/control-related faults within the technician's authorized scope.
- Inspect and maintain motors, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, couplings, timing belts, pulleys, chains, cams, rollers, guide rails, linear systems, seals and other mechanical components.
- Maintain pneumatic systems including cylinders, valves, regulators, FRL units, tubing and fittings.
- Troubleshoot and replace sensors and field devices such as proximity, photoelectric and safety sensors when authorized.
- Support machine changeovers, format-part replacement, machine setup and mechanical adjustment activities.
Qualifications:
- Technical diploma, associate degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Typically 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience; pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Practical experience with automated production and/or packaging machinery.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, pneumatic diagrams and technical documentation.
Good practical knowledge of mechanical power transmission, bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pneumatics and machine mechanisms
