Job Summary:
As a Hairstylist, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of hair care services to clients, helping them achieve the look they desire while ensuring a positive and enjoyable salon experience. Your role encompasses a variety of hair treatments, including cutting, coloring, styling, and consulting with clients to understand their needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:
Client Consultation:
- Conduct thorough consultations with clients to determine their hair care needs, desires, and any specific concerns.
- Offer professional advice and recommendations on hair services and products to achieve desired outcomes.
Hair Services:
- Perform haircuts, styling, blowouts, and hair treatments based on client preferences and current trends.
- Provide hair color services, including highlights, lowlights, full color, and color corrections.
- Administer hair treatments such as deep conditioning, keratin treatments, and perms.
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends and techniques to deliver cutting-edge services.
Product Knowledge:
- Be well-informed about hair care products, including shampoos, conditioners, and styling products.
- Recommend and sell appropriate products to clients for at-home maintenance.
Cleanliness and Sanitation:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitized.
- Adhere to salon's hygiene and safety protocols, including sterilizing equipment and maintaining a clean workspace.
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming and friendly environment for clients.
- Build strong client relationships through effective communication and active listening.
Professional Development:
- Attend training sessions and workshops to stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and product knowledge.
- Pursue additional certifications or courses to enhance your skill set.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Meet or exceed set sales targets by promoting hair care products and additional services.
- Upsell clients on various treatments, packages, or specialty services offered by the salon.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate client records, including service history, product recommendations, and contact information.
- Handle scheduling, booking appointments, and managing the appointment book efficiently.
Requirements:
- Valid state cosmetology license.
- Proven experience as a hairstylist, with a strong portfolio of your work.
- Excellent cutting, coloring, and styling skills.
- Strong knowledge of hair care products and trends.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented salon environment.
- Punctuality and professionalism.
- Knowledge of salon software and appointment booking systems is a plus.
