Role Description The ELV Estimation Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems such as CCTV, access control, structured cabling, and related low-current systems. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project drawings and specifications, conducting quantity take-offs, analyzing vendor quotations, and coordinating with engineering and procurement teams to validate technical and commercial assumptions. The ELV Estimation Engineer will also support bid preparation, participate in clarification meetings, and assist in value engineering to optimize solutions and pricing. The role requires close collaboration with project managers, design engineers, and suppliers to ensure competitive, compliant, and timely proposals.
Qualifications
* Strong estimation and quantity take-off skills, including BOQ preparation and project estimation for ELV and related systems.
* Solid foundation in Civil Engineering or Electrical/ELV engineering disciplines, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Effective negotiation and vendor management skills to obtain competitive quotations and favorable commercial terms.
* Research and analytical skills to benchmark prices, assess technical alternatives, and support value engineering initiatives.
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Civil, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification.
* Experience in ELV systems estimation for building, infrastructure, or industrial projects, preferably in the Middle East region.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software; familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools is an advantage.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
* Ability to work on-site in Riyadh, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
