Position: Electrical Site Engineer – U.A.E.
Position Overview:
As an Electrical Site Engineer at UNICO MEA, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating electrical works, including ELV systems, on site, ensuring that installations are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supervise and coordinate electrical installation works on site, including ELV systems.
· Review shop drawings, specifications, and project requirements before and during execution.
· Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure smooth execution.
· Conduct site inspections and verify site conditions before and during installation.
· Monitor site progress and ensure works are completed according to the project schedule.
· Ensure installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, authority requirements, and quality standards.
· Prepare and submit Material Inspection Requests (MIR) and Work Inspection Requests (WIR) and follow up to obtain consultant/client approvals.
· Coordinate material deliveries, inspections, testing, and installation activities.
· Coordinate electrical works with other disciplines to avoid clashes and delays.
· Identify and resolve technical, coordination, and site execution issues.
· Prepare site reports, progress updates, inspection requests, and relevant documentation.
· Follow up on snagging, rectification, testing, commissioning, and final completion of works.
Required Skills:
· Strong knowledge of electrical installation and site execution works.
· Good understanding of ELV systems and low-current installations.
· Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical specifications.
· Good knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods, testing, and inspection procedures.
· Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
· Ability to manage site activities and work under pressure.
Qualifications:
· Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
· 5 to 7 years of experience in electrical site supervision, preferably in interior fit-out, commercial, residential, hospitality, or construction projects.
· Experience working with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.
· U.A.E. project experience is an advantage.
· Knowledge of U.A.E. authority requirements and relevant electrical standards is an advantage.
· Willingness to work on site in the U.A.E. and travel between project locations as required.
· A team player, adaptable, and able to meet project deadlines.
