Role Description The Cost Accounting Section Head will oversee all cost accounting activities, ensuring accurate cost allocation, budgeting, and financial analysis for ongoing and planned development projects. This full-time, on-site role in El Sherouk includes preparing and reviewing cost reports, coordinating with project and finance teams, and supporting pricing and profitability assessments. Responsibilities include monitoring project expenses, verifying cost data, contributing to monthly and annual closing, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. The role also involves improving cost accounting processes, mentoring team members, and providing management with timely, data-driven insights to support strategic decisions.
Qualifications
* Strong accounting foundation, with expertise in Accounting and Financial Statements.
* Proficiency in Finance and Financial Reporting, with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly.
* Advanced Analytical Skills, including cost analysis, variance analysis, and budgeting for development projects.
* 10+ years of experience in cost accounting or related roles, preferably in real estate development or construction.
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CPA) are an advantage.
* Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with project accounting tools is beneficial.
* Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities, with capacity to collaborate across departments.
* High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail, with a focus on meeting deadlines and improving processes.
