üíº Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager to lead and manage all construction aspects of our project located in Iraq.
This role requires a professional with solid experience in Oil & Gas infrastructure projects and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams in a challenging, multicultural work environment.
üìç Location: Buzurgan and Halfaya, Iraq.
üõ†Ô∏è Key Responsibilities
üèóÔ∏è Project Management:
- Oversee and coordinate all construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Implement and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies throughout construction.
- Develop detailed construction schedules and ensure execution within budget.
üë• Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and manage engineering teams, supervisors, and site staff.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and supplier teams for smooth project execution.
- Manage communication between stakeholders: authorities, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
‚úÖ Quality Control:
- Ensure all construction activities comply with technical standards and client specifications.
- Conduct quality audits and inspections, identifying and correcting deviations.
üå± Regulatory & Environmental Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local and international construction, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Implement sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact.
üì¶ Resource Management:
- Oversee efficient allocation of materials and personnel.
- Manage procurement to ensure timely availability of resources.
üìä Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare regular reports on progress, KPIs, costs, and resource use.
- Maintain constant communication with senior management in Dubai regarding project updates.
⚠️ Risk Management:
- Identify and assess potential risks, developing mitigation strategies.
- Propose and take corrective actions to ensure project success.
üéì Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
- Postgraduate studies in Project Management will be valued.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas construction projects, preferably international.
- Experience in the Middle East region is a plus.
Technical Knowledge:
- Strong background in project and construction management with deep knowledge of international standards and safety.
- Familiarity with MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools.
- Expertise in budgeting, planning, project control, quality, contract management, and HSE compliance.
Languages:
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Arabic proficiency is an asset.
