Position PurposeThe Business Development Executive is a key member of the regional MENA team, responsible for driving sold revenue through new client relationships, strategic partnerships, and targeted business development activity.
This role is focused on identifying, developing, and converting commercial opportunities with key clients across the region. The Business Development Executive will build trusted relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and partners; translate client needs into compelling solutions; and work closely with the MENA senior leadership team to support revenue growth, pipeline health, and long-term commercial success.
ResponsibilitiesRevenue Growth and Commercial Performance
- Consistently achieve or exceed assigned individual annual sold revenue targets.
- Partner with regional leadership and internal teams to achieve or exceed broader revenue targets.
- Collaborate with the MENA Senior Leadership Team to forecast annual revenue targets and define execution strategies that support business success.
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, including an understanding of how relationships, pricing, terms, and negotiation strategy come together to achieve commercial goals.
- Take ownership of sales opportunities from origination through qualification, proposal, negotiation, and close.
Client Relationship Management
- * Build, expand, and sustain strong relationships with client decision-makers, influencers, and senior stakeholders.
- Develop trust-based, long-term client relationships across the MENA region.
- Maintain a deep understanding of client priorities, challenges, decision dynamics, and buying signals.
- Demonstrate strong strategic relationship development, networking, and executive presence.
- Read client verbal and non-verbal cues effectively and use this insight to guide conversations toward positive commercial outcomes.
- Create opportunities for upselling and cross-selling that increase client value and commercial outcomes.
- Support the achievement of client satisfaction targets, including NPS and CSAT benchmarks.
Business Development and Pipeline Health
- * Maintain a healthy qualified pipeline with 3-4x coverage of assigned quota.
- Generate a steady flow of new qualified opportunities through self-sourcing, referrals, partnerships, and internal collaboration.
- Identify and pursue targeted new client opportunities aligned with MENA’s growth priorities.
- Maintain accurate pipeline data, opportunity status, next steps, and forecast information.
- Work with leadership to assess pipeline quality, conversion likelihood, and actions required to improve win rates.
Business Development Governance and Internal Stakeholder Coordination
- * Act as the central business development point of coordination for MENA, ensuring client opportunities, pipeline activity, RFPs, and internal priorities are visible, structured, and actively managed.
- Lead regular internal business development reviews with regional leadership, conductors, delivery teams, operations, legal, finance, and other relevant stakeholders to align on priorities, capacity, risks, and next steps.
- Own and maintain a clear pipeline and dashboard view of active opportunities, upcoming RFPs, client priorities, opportunity status, deadlines, ownership, and required internal support.
- Establish and manage a clear RFP intake, qualification, and prioritization process to determine which opportunities the business should pursue, pause, decline, or escalate for leadership review.
- Lead go/no-go discussions for RFPs and major opportunities, assessing strategic fit, client value, revenue potential, likelihood of winning, delivery capacity, timeline, commercial risk, and internal resource requirements.
- Work closely with conductors and business unit leads to confirm delivery capability, resource availability, project risk, and operational readiness before the business commits to client submissions or proposals.
- Define clear roles and responsibilities across business development, conductors, delivery, operations, legal, finance, and document control so each opportunity has an agreed owner, decision path, and support structure.
- Support the creation and improvement of internal business development processes, including opportunity tracking, RFP workflows, proposal handovers, approval routes, document requirements, and escalation points.
- Partner with a document controller or coordinator to ensure client portals, NDAs, PQQs, RFP documents, submission files, version control, and handover materials are managed accurately and consistently.
- Provide concise reporting to regional leadership on pipeline health, priority opportunities, RFP status, resource constraints, client risks, and cross-functional actions required to move opportunities forward.
Solution Alignment and Value Creation
- * Translate client business goals and abstract challenges into clear, logical sales strategies and solution pathways.
- Position solutions in a way that directly connects to client business priorities and desired outcomes.
- Differentiate the company’s offerings from competitors through strong value articulation and relevant client storytelling.
- Develop and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and commercial narratives that resonate with client needs.
- Collaborate with sales, delivery, operations, and subject matter experts to ensure proposed solutions are credible, deliverable, and commercially sound.
Position Requirements
- * 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, account growth, or commercial leadership, ideally within the MENA region.
- High School Certificate Equivalency; Bachelors degree preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sold revenue targets.
- Experience developing new client relationships and expanding existing strategic accounts.
- Strong understanding of consultative selling, opportunity qualification, pipeline management, negotiation, and closing.
- Demonstrated ability to engage senior decision-makers and build trusted executive-level relationships.
- Experience working across complex stakeholder environments, including clients, partners, senior leadership, delivery teams, and operations.
- Ability to translate client business challenges into compelling, commercially viable solutions.
- Strong proposal development, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- High level of commercial acumen, including understanding of pricing, terms, value creation, and deal quality.
- Experience maintaining accurate forecasts and managing pipeline coverage against revenue targets.
- Strong networking capability with an ability to originate opportunities through relationships, referrals, and market activity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Resilient, agile, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-pressure commercial environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent commercial experience will also be considered.
- Experience coordinating internal stakeholders across leadership, delivery, operations, legal, finance, and commercial teams.
- Experience managing RFP prioritization, go/no-go decisions, pipeline dashboards, proposal workflows, and document control processes.
