Brand Manager

Overview
The Brand Manager will support the Brand Director in managing and developing the company’s portfolio of beauty products, including haircare, skincare, and other beauty products. The role will be responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of brand strategies, marketing initiatives, product positioning, brand communications, and commercial activities, with the objective of driving brand growth, awareness, and profitability.
The Brand Manager will work closely with internal teams, distributors, retailers, suppliers, agencies, influencers, and other external partners to ensure consistent brand execution across all channels. The role will also be responsible for monitoring market trends, coordinating product launches, supporting sales activities, managing content, and tracking brand performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Management
- Support the Brand Director in the development and execution of brand strategies for haircare, skincare, and other beauty products.
- Manage day-to-day brand activities and ensure alignment with overall brand objectives and positioning.
- Ensure consistent implementation of brand identity, guidelines, messaging, and visual standards across all touchpoints.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen brand awareness, market presence, and consumer engagement.
- Maintain an up-to-date brand calendar covering campaigns, launches, activations, promotions, and key commercial activities.
2. Market Research & Competitive Analysis
- Conduct regular market research to identify industry trends, consumer needs, competitor activities, pricing, product launches, and emerging opportunities.
- Monitor competitors and provide regular market insights to the Brand Director and relevant teams.
- Use market and consumer insights to recommend adjustments and improvements to brand strategies and activities.
3. Marketing Campaigns
- Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing campaigns across digital platforms, social media, retail, PR, events, and influencer partnerships.
- Work closely with the marketing and creative teams to ensure campaigns are aligned with brand objectives and target audiences.
- Coordinate campaign timelines, deliverables, and required marketing materials.
- Monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations for optimization.
4. Product Positioning & Product Launches
- Develop and implement product positioning strategies in line with brand objectives and market requirements.
- Ensure product value propositions, benefits, and key messages are clearly communicated across all channels.
- Coordinate new product launches from planning through execution, working closely with sales, marketing, operations, and other relevant teams.
- Prepare launch plans, product information, marketing materials, and supporting communications.
- Monitor the performance of new products following launch and provide recommendations based on market feedback.
5. Distribution & Retail Support
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure appropriate product distribution and strong brand visibility across key retail and professional channels.
- Support the development and implementation of promotional activities and trade marketing initiatives.
- Ensure brand standards are maintained across retail environments, displays, POS materials, and other customer-facing touchpoints.
- Work with sales teams to identify opportunities for increased product visibility and sell-through.
6. Content Creation & Brand Materials
- Work closely with creative teams, agencies, and external suppliers to develop engaging and effective brand content.
- Coordinate the creation of product descriptions, campaign visuals, social media content, presentations, brochures, POS materials, and promotional assets.
- Review and approve content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines.
- Ensure all product information and brand materials are up to date.
7. Brand Communication
- Maintain consistent brand messaging across all communication channels, including digital platforms, social media, packaging, advertising, events, and retail environments.
- Ensure the brand voice and identity are correctly reflected across all consumer and trade touchpoints.
- Support PR, influencer, media, and partnership activities where relevant.
8. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, education, operations, finance, product development, and other internal teams.
- Work with relevant teams to ensure the successful implementation of brand initiatives and product launches.
- Provide brand information, product knowledge, and marketing support to internal teams when required.
- Coordinate with external agencies, suppliers, distributors, and other partners to ensure timely delivery of brand activities.
9. Consumer Engagement & Relationship Building
- Build and maintain relationships with consumers, retailers, distributors, influencers, educators, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Support consumer engagement initiatives and collect market feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor consumer feedback, reviews, and market sentiment relevant to the brands.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen consumer loyalty and brand advocacy.
10. Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor key performance indicators related to brand performance, sales, marketing campaigns, product launches, and consumer engagement.
- Analyze sales and marketing data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring improvement.
- Prepare regular brand performance reports and presentations for the Brand Director.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on performance data.
11. Budget & Marketing Investment
- Support the Brand Director in preparing and monitoring brand and marketing budgets.
- Track marketing expenses and ensure activities are delivered within approved budgets.
- Coordinate with finance and relevant suppliers regarding purchase orders, invoices, and marketing-related expenses.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and return on investment of marketing activities where applicable.
12. Brand Training & Product Knowledge
- Work with the education and sales teams to ensure relevant teams have up-to-date knowledge of products, launches, key benefits, and brand positioning.
- Support the preparation of product information and training materials.
- Attend and support product launches, educational sessions, events, and brand activations when required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Previous experience in brand management, marketing, or a related role, preferably within the beauty, cosmetics, haircare, skincare, or FMCG industry.
- Strong understanding of brand strategy, marketing, consumer behavior, and commercial activities.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, social media, influencer marketing, and content development.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to track, interpret, and report on performance metrics.
- Creative thinking with strong attention to detail.
- Strong presentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently while keeping the Brand Director informed and aligned on key activities and priorities.
- Strong knowledge of the beauty market and awareness of current industry trends is an advantage.
