Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced BIM Coordination Engineer to manage and coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models for a 12-month project in Riyadh. The role will involve Revit model coordination, Navisworks clash detection, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM QA/QC, model validation, issue tracking, and construction coordination across Architectural, Structural, MEP, ELV/ICT, Security, and AV disciplines.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in BIM coordination, Revit, Navisworks, ACC, clash detection, BIM standards/BEP, model validation, and coordination reporting.
Responsibilities:
1. BIM Coordination & Management
- Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models including Architectural, Structural, MEP, ELV/ICT, Security and AV.
- Manage the BIM coordination process in accordance with the BEP, project standards and contractual requirements.
- Establish and maintain model coordination procedures, workflows and deliverables.
- Coordinate model exchanges and ensure teams are working with the latest approved information.
2. Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
- Manage BIM models, documents and coordination information through Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Maintain folder structures, model publishing, revisions, permissions and document status.
- Monitor model submissions and ensure compliance with naming, revision and information management requirements.
- Coordinate BIM issues and follow up with responsible disciplines through ACC.
3. Revit Model Coordination
- Review and coordinate Revit models from different disciplines.
- Verify coordinates, levels, grids, model positioning and shared coordinates.
- Perform model health and quality checks before federation.
- Review model warnings, duplicate elements, incorrect families/categories, links and other modeling issues.
- Ensure models comply with required LOD/LOI and project BIM standards.
4. Navisworks Coordination & Clash Detection
- Develop and maintain federated models using Navisworks.
- Create and manage clash detection tests between disciplines
- Configure search/selection sets and clash rules
- Identify hard clashes, clearance clashes and coordination issues.
- Review and validate clashes to eliminate false positives and duplicate issues.
- Prioritize clashes based on severity and construction impact.
5. Model Validation & QA/QC
- Perform BIM model validation against the BEP, BIM standards, project requirements and approved design.
- Check model geometry, data, parameters, naming conventions, coordinates and model health.
- Prepare BIM QA/QC and model validation reports.
- Track non-compliance items and coordinate corrective actions with discipline teams.
- Verify that corrected models have been properly updated before closing issues.
6. Clash & Issue Management
- Prepare detailed clash reports with screenshots, viewpoints, location, responsible discipline, priority and recommended action.
- Assign and track coordination issues until closure.
- Conduct regular coordination meetings with design and construction teams.
- Monitor recurring clashes and identify root causes.
- Verify resolved clashes against the latest model before closing them.
7. Construction Coordination
- Support site teams by identifying BIM-related coordination issues affecting installation. * Coordinate MEP/ELV interfaces, equipment rooms, ceiling spaces, risers, shafts, containment and access/maintenance requirements.
- Support constructability reviews and installation sequencing.
- Coordinate BIM requirements with engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams. 8. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare weekly/monthly BIM coordination reports.
- Provide clash statistics, outstanding issues, closure rates and discipline performance. * Maintain BIM coordination trackers and issue registers.
- Support BIM progress reporting and management presentations.
- Maintain proper records of model revisions, coordination decisions and approvals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Engineering, Architecture, MEP, or related field.
- Experience as a BIM Coordinator/BIM Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Revit, Navisworks Manage, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Experience in multidisciplinary BIM coordination and clash detection.
- Knowledge of BEP, BIM standards, LOD/LOI, model QA/QC, and validation.
- Experience preparing clash reports, issue registers, and BIM coordination reports.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- GCC/Saudi project experience preferred.
