Role Description:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Django.
- Build and extend platform plugins and integrations.
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs.
- Optimize PostgreSQL databases and write efficient queries.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams through code reviews and Git workflows.
- Participate in CI/CD, deployment, and troubleshooting activities.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional Python development experience
- 2+ years of hands-on Django experience in production
- Strong knowledge of Python 3.10+, Django, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, Docker, Git, and automated testing (Pytest/Django TestCase)
- Experience building or extending applications with a plugin/extension architecture
- Experience integrating third-party APIs (payment gateways, loyalty platforms, etc.)
- Solid understanding of database design and query optimization
Nice to have:
- Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ, Jenkins, Linux/Bash
- Basic JavaScript/Vue.js
- Arabic RTL localization experience
- Background in e-commerce, ticketing, or payment integrations
- Familiarity with OWASP security best practices
