The Senior Compensation & Benefits Specialist oversees Group payroll, benefits, allowances and employee-cost controls, ensuring accuracy, compliance and cost efficiency while providing C&B analysis and recommendations.
Key Accountabilities Payroll Operations, Accuracy and Control:
- Manage monthly payroll for Head Office and expatriate employees, covering salaries, allowances, benefits, deductions, reimbursements, loans, advances and exceptional payments.
- Validate payroll inputs and audit final outputs to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, proper approval and compliance with internal controls.
Benefits, Allowances and Expatriate Cost Management:
- Administer employee benefits, allowances and expatriate packages, ensuring eligibility, approvals, limits and budget compliance.
- Maintain accurate records to support payroll processing, cost forecasting and management decisions.
Bank Reporting and Payment Documentation:
- Prepare, reconcile and submit salary transfer files, payment schedules, bank reports, bank letters and payroll confirmations within agreed deadlines.
- Coordinate with Finance, banks and HR teams to resolve payroll payment exceptions, returned transfers, account changes and authorization issues.
Job Evaluation, Grading and Pay Structures:
- Support the maintenance of job evaluation, grading, salary scales and pay structures to ensure consistency, internal equity and alignment with approved governance.
Group Employee Expense Analysis and Audit:
- Analyze employee-related expenses across the Group to identify errors, duplication, non-compliance, overpayments and cost leakage.
- Recommend corrective actions and control improvements to strengthen payroll governance and cost management.
C&B Analytics, Reporting and Recommendations:
- Develop dashboards and reports on payroll costs, benefits, allowances, headcount and compensation trends.
- Translate C&B data into actionable insights while maintaining accurate records for decision-making, budgeting, forecasting and audits.
Governance, Compliance and Stakeholder Advisory:
- Serve as the primary contact for C&B, payroll, allowances and employee-cost matters across the Group.
- Ensure compliance and collaborate with HR, Finance and country teams to strengthen controls and standardize processes.
Process Improvement and Performance Enhancement:
- Review payroll, benefits and employee-cost processes to identify control gaps and opportunities for automation and simplification.
- Implement and monitor improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, cost control and reporting reliability.

Qualifications Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience in C&B, payroll operations, payroll audit, benefits administration, salary benchmarking, job evaluation and employee-cost analysis, preferably in a multi-country environment with expatriate payroll exposure.
Education and Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field. Professional certification in compensation, payroll, HR analytics or total rewards is an advantage.
Job Specific Skills
- Advanced payroll processing and reconciliation capability, including salary files, bank submissions, benefits, allowances, deductions and staff expense controls.
- Strong Excel, HRIS/payroll system, reporting, dashboarding and data validation skills.
- Solid understanding of compensation structures, salary scales, grading, internal equity, market benchmarking and total rewards analysis.
- High level of confidentiality, numerical accuracy, documentation discipline and audit readiness.
