Role Description This is a full-time Accountant role based in Beirut with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a mix of on-site and work-from-home days. The Accountant will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including recording journal entries, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining accurate ledgers. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, tracking accounts payable and receivable, issuing invoices, and monitoring cash flow. The role also involves supporting budgeting and forecasting, preparing reports for management, and assisting with cost analysis for projects and operations. The Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations, coordinate with external auditors or advisors when needed, and help improve internal controls and financial processes.
Qualifications
- * Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), with the ability to generate accurate reports and analyze financial data.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance requirements, including experience with invoicing, VAT, and statutory filings.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support decision-making and project planning.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with sound judgment and integrity in handling financial information.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA or equivalent) are a plus.
- Experience in a creative, design, or small-business environment is an advantage, as is familiarity with hybrid work practices.
