CIVE, a Houston-based design-build firm with an offshore office in Beirut Digital District, is seeking an experienced Senior Architect with a minimum of 10 years of post-graduation experience to join our Beirut team.
The successful candidate will lead architectural design development and technical delivery for large-scale projects, guiding teams from schematic design through construction documentation and supporting construction administration within a BIM-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the preparation and review of schematic design (SD), design development (DD), and construction document (CD) packages.
• Guide and mentor architectural team members, ensuring design intent is accurately reflected in project deliverables.
• Review designs for compliance with applicable building codes, fire and life safety regulations, and project requirements.
• Oversee architectural detailing, technical specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and quality control reviews.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, civil, and specialty consultants to ensure fully integrated designs and BIM deliverables.
• Manage architectural resources, priorities, and deliverables to meet project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Present design concepts and technical solutions to clients and support coordination with consultants, vendors, and contractors.
• Support construction administration, including RFIs, submittal reviews, field observations, and site coordination.
• Use Autodesk Construction Cloud for project documentation and follow company quality management procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience after graduation.
• Proven ability to independently deliver SD, DD, and CD packages.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with experience working in a BIM-driven environment.
• Strong expertise in building systems, construction detailing, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and regulatory requirements; familiarity with IBC and U.S. codes is an advantage.
• Familiarity with CSI MasterFormat and technical specification structuring.
• Demonstrated team leadership, consultant coordination, and project organization skills.
