We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain Import Specialist to manage the full import cycle within our growing company.
This role is critical in ensuring smooth, compliant, and cost-efficient import operations from international suppliers to final clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end import operations from booking to final clearance
- Coordinate directly with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers
- Prepare, review, and align all shipping and clearance documentation (Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, etc.)
- Ensure proper handling and validity of import licenses and regulatory approvals
- Follow up on shipments, monitor ETAs, and proactively resolve delays
- Ensure compliance with local customs regulations and FMCG import requirements
- Communicate with international suppliers to ensure correct documentation and compliance procedures before shipment
- Coordinate internally with procurement, finance, and warehouse teams for smooth goods receipt
Profile & Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Import Specialist, preferably in an FMCG environment
- Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs clearance procedures, and documentation
- Experience handling food/non-food FMCG compliance requirements
- Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously with high accuracy
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure
