Role Description The Caregiver Home role at Khoury General Hospital is a full-time, on-site position based in Zahle, providing in-home support to patients who need assistance with daily living activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include offering personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, as well as supporting mobility and safe transfers. The caregiver will assist with basic household tasks related to patient comfort, monitor and report changes in the patient’s condition, and follow care plans established by healthcare professionals. The role involves providing emotional support, maintaining respectful and clear communication with patients and families, and adhering to all hospital policies and safety procedures.
Qualifications
* Strong caregiving and home care skills, with the ability to support daily living activities safely and respectfully.
* Experience in personal care and elder care, including assistance with hygiene, mobility, and comfort.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, show empathy, and communicate clearly with patients and families.
* Basic knowledge of health, safety, and infection control practices in a home care setting.
* Ability to follow written and verbal care instructions and collaborate with nursing and medical staff.
* Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, transferring, and prolonged standing as required.
* Prior experience as a caregiver, nursing assistant, or similar role is preferred.
* Relevant training or certification in caregiving, home care, or a related field is an advantage.
* Reliability, patience, and strong ethical standards, including respect for privacy and confidentiality.
