üîπ Key Responsibilities
The Railway Assurance Senior Engineer will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining the Systems Assurance Management Plan and Rail Safety Plan.
- Managing and monitoring RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability & Safety) targets and performance.
- Preparing and maintaining Safety Cases, RAMS analyses, Risk Assessments, and Hazard Logs.
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks affecting people, railway assets, and operations.
- Managing transferred risks from infrastructure and rolling stock providers.
- Ensuring compliance with EN 50126, EN 50128, and EN 50129.
- Coordinating Independent Safety Assessments (ISA) and supporting the required approvals.
- Working closely with operations, maintenance, infrastructure, rolling stock, clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Monitoring railway asset performance and supporting continuous improvement of the Assurance Management System.
- Preparing assurance documentation, reports, and performance updates.
üîπ Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who have:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in railway safety, assurance, RAMS, safety inspection, or a similar field.
- Strong knowledge of railway safety, compliance, risk management, and assurance processes.
- Knowledge or training in EN 50126, EN 50128, and EN 50129 is an advantage.
- Experience with Safety Cases, Hazard Logs, RAMS, and Risk Assessments is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Fluent English and Arabic communication skills.
