Role Description The junior Procurement Engineer – Electrical will support the procurement of electrical materials, equipment, and services for ongoing construction and fit-out projects. This full-time, on-site role based in Qesm El Nozha involves preparing and issuing requests for quotation (RFQs), evaluating supplier offers, and coordinating with internal project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing technical specifications, preparing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate procurement documentation. The role also requires liaising with suppliers to resolve issues, supporting budget adherence, and ensuring compliance with company standards and project requirements. The junior Procurement Engineer will collaborate closely with engineering, site, and finance teams to help maintain reliable, efficient procurement operations.
Qualifications
- * Candidates should possess strong supplier management skills, including Supplier Evaluation and the ability to compare technical and commercial offers.
- Candidates should possess purchasing process skills, including experience with Request for Quotation (RFQ) preparation and handling Purchase Orders.
- Candidates should possess core professional skills, including Analytical Skills and effective Communication to work with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and equipment used in construction and fit-out projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with procurement or ERP software is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
- Previous internship or up to 2 years of experience in procurement, construction, or engineering is preferred but not mandatory.
