Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Accountant role based in Qatar. The Junior Accountant will assist with day-to-day accounting activities, including recording financial transactions, preparing journal entries, and maintaining general ledger accounts. The role involves supporting accounts payable and receivable processes, reconciling bank statements, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports and supporting documentation. The Junior Accountant will help ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations, organize financial records for audits, and collaborate with senior accountants and other team members to resolve discrepancies. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial data.
Qualifications
- * Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including journal entries, general ledger management, and basic financial reporting.
- Ability to work with accounting software and spreadsheets, with strong numerical accuracy and data entry skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with finance colleagues and other departments.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail when handling financial and client information.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; relevant internships or junior accounting experience are an advantage.
- Familiarity with local Qatar regulations and E-Gov processes is beneficial, along with willingness to learn and adapt to company procedures.
- Ability to work on-site in Qatar and commit to full-time working hours.
