Role DescriptionWe are seeking a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Design Assistant to support the design team with creative development, visual materials, project coordination, and day-to-day design activities. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to a variety of creative projects while helping ensure that design work is organized, consistent, and delivered to the required standards.
The Design Assistant will support designers and creative teams throughout different stages of the design process, from initial concepts and research through revisions, final preparation, and delivery. You will help prepare visual references, organize creative assets, update design files, and assist with the development of layouts, graphics, presentations, and other visual materials.
Key responsibilities include assisting with design concepts, preparing draft layouts, resizing and adapting creative assets, organizing images and project files, and making updates based on feedback. The role may involve supporting digital content, marketing materials, presentations, social media graphics, branding assets, publications, promotional materials, and other creative projects.
You will work closely with designers, marketing teams, project coordinators, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure that creative materials are prepared accurately. Attention to detail is important when reviewing typography, spacing, alignment, imagery, colors, file formats, and other visual elements.
The Design Assistant will also help maintain organized design libraries, templates, reference materials, and project documentation. You may assist with preparing files for digital publishing or production and ensure that final assets follow relevant technical specifications and brand guidelines.
The role requires a willingness to contribute creative ideas while following established design direction. You should be comfortable receiving feedback, making revisions, and adapting materials for different audiences, platforms, formats, and communication objectives.
You may also support research into visual trends, competitor materials, creative references, and emerging design approaches. The successful candidate should have a strong interest in visual communication and enjoy working in a collaborative creative environment.
Qualifications
- * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic background in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Media, Fine Arts, Multimedia, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Basic understanding of design principles, composition, typography, color theory, layout, and visual communication.
- Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, Canva, or comparable tools.
- Ability to create, edit, resize, and organize visual assets for different creative requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in typography, spacing, alignment, formatting, and overall visual consistency.
- Good understanding of digital design and common requirements for social media, presentations, websites, and marketing materials.
- Ability to follow creative briefs, brand guidelines, templates, and established visual directions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage design files, assets, references, and project materials efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively with designers, marketing teams, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Good communication skills and the ability to understand feedback and implement revisions accurately.
- Creative mindset with an interest in developing new visual ideas and exploring different design approaches.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and meeting project requirements.
