Role Description
A Business Development Director is responsible for leading business growth strategies, developing new markets, acquiring key clients, building strategic partnerships, and driving sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- * Develop and implement business development strategies and growth plans.
- Identify new markets, clients, partnerships, and revenue opportunities.
- Lead client acquisition and strategic business development activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Develop strategic partnerships, alliances, and commercial opportunities.
- Conduct market research and monitor competitors, customer needs, and industry trends.
- Set business development targets, KPIs, budgets, and performance objectives.
- Lead proposals, tenders, presentations, negotiations, and commercial discussions.
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, finance, operations, and other departments.
- Develop account strategies for key clients and strategic markets.
- Monitor business pipeline, conversion, revenue, and overall performance.
- Prepare business development reports, forecasts, budgets, and management updates.
- Lead, coach, and develop business development and sales teams.
- Identify commercial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Support senior management with strategic planning, market expansion, and business growth initiatives.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Management, Economics, or a related field.
* Extensive experience in business development, sales, or commercial management.
* Proven experience developing new markets, clients, partnerships, and revenue opportunities.
* Strong knowledge of business development strategies and commercial growth.
* Experience managing sales pipelines, KPIs, budgets, and business targets.
* Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
* Excellent analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities.
* Experience with CRM, ERP, and business development systems*.
* Strong understanding of market research, customer acquisition, and competitive analysis.
* Ability to manage key accounts and strategic business relationships.
* Strong leadership and team-development capabilities.
* Ability to manage multiple opportunities, projects, and deadlines.
* UAE/GCC business development experience is advantageous.
* Professional, strategic, organized, proactive, and results-oriented approach.
