Role Description The Architectural Tendering & Pricing Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotations for architectural and electromechanical projects, ensuring alignment with technical specifications, client requirements, and company pricing policies. The engineer will review tender documents, drawings, and bills of quantities, analyze project scope, and coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to gather pricing and technical data. Daily tasks include evaluating procurement options, preparing cost breakdowns, clarifying technical queries with clients or consultants, and supporting negotiations during tender stages. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date market price databases, tracking tender statuses, and contributing to process improvements in estimating and tendering workflows.
Qualifications
- * Strong expertise in preparing and reviewing project quotations, including cost estimation and detailed pricing breakdowns.
- Demonstrated analytical skills for interpreting tender documents, drawings, specifications, and project risks.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, contractors, internal teams, and clients.
- Experience with procurement processes, vendor evaluation, and sourcing of materials and services.
- Background in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline; understanding of architectural and MEP systems is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Architecture, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel), tendering/estimating tools, and reading technical drawings.
- Attention to detail, strong time management, and ability to handle multiple tenders under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of local market pricing, construction standards, and industry regulations in Egypt is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site with multidisciplinary teams and uphold ethical, non-discriminatory work practices.
