Job PurposeThe Apparel Packing Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all apparel products are inspected, prepared, folded, packed, and labeled according to the company's quality and packaging standards. The role ensures that customer orders are accurately and efficiently prepared for dispatch while maintaining the required presentation and product quality.
Key Responsibilities1. Apparel Quality Check
- * Inspect garments before packing to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Check for stains, loose threads, fabric defects, damage, incorrect sizing, or other issues.
- Separate defective or unclear items and report them to the Quality Team.
- Ensure only approved products are prepared for customer orders.
2. Packing & Presentation
- * Fold and pack apparel according to the approved packing guidelines.
- Ensure garments are properly positioned and presented inside the packaging.
- Use the correct packaging materials, labels, tags, and accessories.
- Ensure packaging is clean, neat, secure, and aligned with the brand's presentation standards.
- Handle garments carefully to avoid wrinkles, damage, or contamination.
3. Order Accuracy
- * Verify SKU, product name, size, color, and quantity before packing.
- Match packed items with the order details.
- Ensure all required accessories or promotional materials are included.
- Perform a final check before handing orders over for dispatch.
5. Productivity & Operations
- * Achieve daily packing and quality-check targets.
- Follow the approved packing process and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain consistent quality while meeting productivity requirements.
- Support the team during high-volume periods, launches, and events in scarves and clothing.
6. Coordination
- * Coordinate with Quality, Warehouse, Production, and Operations teams to resolve product or order issues.
- Escalate repeated quality or packing issues to the seniors.
- Provide feedback on recurring defects or packing challenges and suggest improvements.
Requirements
- * 1–2 years of experience in apparel, fashion, warehouse, packing, or quality operations is preferred.
- Good knowledge of garment handling and packing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to identify basic garment quality issues.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet daily targets.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills are preferred.
Preferred Skills
- * Experience with fashion or apparel brands.
- Knowledge of garment quality standards.
- Experience working with SKUs, inventory, and order fulfillment.
- Ability to follow SOPs accurately.
- Strong sense of product presentation and brand standards.
Working Conditions
- * Full-time position.
- 5 working days per week, with rotational days off on Thursday and Saturday.
