This job opportunity is offered by ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC Graduate Development Program The program is designed for Graduates with 0-2 years' of experience. The program offers various job rotations, mentorships, coaching & trainings.
Job Purpose:
Responsible for executing field service interventions on power and distribution transformers, including installation supervision, commissioning, preventive maintenance and corrective repair. The role delivers assigned service scopes to specification, on schedule and in full compliance with safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Commissioning
- Supervise transformer offloading, positioning, assembly of radiators, bushings and conservator, and oil filling.
- Execute drying-out, vacuum treatment and oil filtration where required prior to energisation.
- Perform pre-commissioning tests including ratio, winding resistance, insulation resistance, polarity and vector group verification.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Carry out scheduled maintenance covering oil sampling, gasket inspection, bushing cleaning, silica gel and cooling system checks.
- Execute corrective interventions such as leak repair, gasket and gauge replacement and tap changer servicing.
- Verify operation of protection devices including Buchholz relay, oil and winding temperature indicators and pressure relief.
Diagnostics & Condition Assessment
- Collect oil samples and interpret dissolved gas analysis and oil quality results.
- Perform and evaluate insulation diagnostics and identify developing faults.
- Recommend condition-based interventions and end-of-life assessments.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare service reports, test records and customer sign-off documentation for every intervention.
- Maintain the maintenance history file for each serviced transformer.
- Report findings, spare requirements and recurring defects to the Service Manager.
QHSE on Site
- Apply approved method statements, risk assessments and permit-to-work for all site activities.
- Enforce electrical isolation, earthing and confined-space and hot-work controls as applicable.
- Manage oil handling, containment and disposal in line with environmental requirements.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree of Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Years of Experience: 0–2 years of experience
- Language proficiency: Good command of English
- Preferred experience in transformer installation, commissioning, testing or field maintenance.
