Edge Shipping Lebanon is currently recruiting a Sea Freight Manager who will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end ocean freight operations, ensuring efficient, compliant and cost-effective handling of import and export shipments.
The role involves coordinating with customers, shipping lines, customs brokers and internal teams to ensure timely documentation, booking, tracking, and delivery of sea freight.
The Sea Freight Manager monitors service performance, resolves operational issues, and implements process improvements to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. The individual will also support business development activities by providing technical input on sea freight solutions, market trends, and pricing strategies.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of ocean and sea freight operations, including routing, scheduling and carrier management.
- Experience handling import and export processes, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to manage client expectations and resolve issues promptly.
- Background in freight forwarding, logistics, or maritime services, ideally within regional or international markets.
- Relevant academic qualification in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field.
- Ability to analyze costs, margins, and performance data to support pricing and efficiency improvements.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Proficiency with logistics and freight management systems, Microsoft Office, and tracking tools.
