We are looking for an experienced Piping Design Engineer to join our engineering team and support the design and execution of Oil & Gas facilities projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for piping design, plant layout development, 3D modeling, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality project delivery in accordance with international codes, standards, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop piping layouts, equipment arrangements, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings for Oil & Gas facilities.
- Perform piping engineering and design activities throughout proposal and project execution phases.
- Review and validate piping engineering deliverables, including:
- Site Plans and Plot Plans
- 3D Models
- Line Lists
- Pipe Wall Thickness Calculations
- Valve Datasheets
- Stress Analysis Reports
- Isometric Drawings
- Review procurement deliverables such as technical requisitions, bid evaluations, purchase requisitions, and vendor documentation for valves, piping specialties, spring supports, and other piping components.
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct technical evaluations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments related to piping systems.
- Review stress analysis reports and ensure piping layouts are optimized for stress compliance and constructability.
- Provide piping loads and stress-related inputs to civil and structural disciplines.
- Integrate vendor-supplied information and drawings into project documentation.
- Prepare piping material take-offs, valve lists, and piping specialty lists.
- Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and technical discussions with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Support site activities, inspections, troubleshooting, and construction-related engineering requirements.
- Ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and HSSE requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience as a Piping Design Engineer within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience in EPC projects, facilities engineering, and plant layout design.
- Proven experience leading small to medium-sized engineering projects.
