We are hiring experienced Control System Engineer for Giza, Egypt location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical leader, responsible of defining the System architecture for BPCS, Safety and F&G systems.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert during the project execution guiding and advising the project to resolve design issues.
- Assist other execution centers with design and troubleshooting issues.
- Design of complex Control Systems, F&G system, Telecom system and provide system architecture diagram for projects based on client specifications and international standards.
- Prepare technical requisition for all these systems and technical specification of the components during project execution.
- Provide inputs to other disciplines during project execution.
- Participate in engineering review meetings.
- Responsible to deliver controls engineering documents as per project schedule.
- Responsible to follow up with vendor on technical matters to ensure on time and on budget delivery of the equipment.
- Able to prepare and own the control systems design basis, operating & control philosophies in co-ordination with process and safety disciplines.
- Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in its discipline in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Able to prepare Control System technical requisition documents like:
- Specification
- IO Counts
- Plant Control Philosophy
- Third Party Interface Details
- VDRL
- Participate in FEED/Proposal/Project Engineering involving designing of complex Control and Instrumentation systems, Field Instruments, F&G systems for On-Shore and Off-Shore Oil and Gas projects based on client specifications and international standards.
- Lead and assist junior control engineers/designers when developing engineering deliverables.
- Able to participate FAT / SAT / ISAT and confirm the compliance of PLC/HMI/DCS applications.
- Should have experience supporting the close-out reports of:
- HAZID
- HAZOP
- SIL
- F&G Mapping Study
- Constructability Study
- Able to work with fabricator/contractor and provide solution for technical site related queries during construction/commissioning.
Objectives:
- Control System Actual Costs vs Budget (including approved variation orders).
- Control System Engineering Deliverables On Time Delivery (OTD).
- Control System Resource Planning and Utilization.
- Control System Contractual Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Control System Engineering Design Change Notification (EDCN) Entries and MOCs.
- Service Quality (SQ’s).
Education Qualification:
- Bachelors in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or similar.
Experience:
- 10+ years Industry experience.
- Prior work experience in Production Facility Engineering.
- Management of Construction suppliers.
- Site Engineering support for Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Startup activities.
Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation and electrical design codes (ISA, ANSI, NEMA, NEC, API, IEC, ATEX, etc.).
- Strong computer skills (e.g., MS Office).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Site commissioning experience.
- Familiar with LCI Management Systems (Aveva, SPI Intools).
- Experience and/or certifications in IECEx CoPC, Functional Safety.
- Instrumentation Sizing Tools.
- Navis 3D Model Review.
