Job Title: Finance Manager

About the Role
To lead and manage the company's financial planning, reporting, treasury, and control activities, ensuring financial stability, regulatory compliance, and effective resource utilization in support of the organization's strategic objectives and growth. The Finance Manager provides financial insights and analysis to support decision-making, maintains robust financial governance and controls, and oversees the company's financial performance, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with applicable financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Key Tasks/Accountabilities
* Lead and oversee all finance and accounting activities to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely financial operations.
* Direct the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
* Manage period-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and reporting requirements. \ Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and organizational priorities.
* Monitor financial performance against approved budgets and forecasts, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions to enhance financial and operational outcomes.
* Provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to senior management to facilitate informed business decisions.
* Ensure full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, IFRS standards, and internal policies.
* Coordinate external and internal audits, regulatory examinations, and financial reviews, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
* Maintain effective relationships with auditors, banking partners, consultants, and other external financial stakeholders.
* Review and authorize journal entries, account reconciliations, payments, and other financial transactions.
* Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and working capital management activities.
* Lead and monitor cash flow, liquidity and working capital performance to ensure adequate funding for operational and strategic requirements.
* Manage banking relationships, optimize cash utilization, and oversee financing and funding activities to maintain financial stability and support business growth.
* Lead negotiations for trust account interest rates, credit lines for micro-lending liquidity, and settlement turn-around times with partner banks.
* Establish, maintain, and enhance financial controls, policies, procedures, governance frameworks and systems.
* Evaluate financial performance, identify financial risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
* Prepare management reports, financial dashboards, and KPI analyses to support performance monitoring and decision-making.
* Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of financial data across finance systems and reporting platforms.
* Support the evaluation of business opportunities, strategic partnerships, investment initiatives, and expansion plans through financial analysis and business case assessments.
* Conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing feedback, and support employee development and capability-building initiatives.
* Lead, coach, and develop the operations team, ensuring high performance, technical competencies, and adherence to operational standards.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable policies & regulatory requirements in information security.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills
Qualifications/Experience: -
- B.Sc. in Economics, Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Banking & Financial Studies or any related field.
- Professional certification in Finance, Accounting, or Financial Management such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CFA, or CA is preferred.
- Additional certifications in Financial Modeling, Treasury Management, FinTech, are considered an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in finance and financial management roles, preferably.
