OPHTHALMIC EQUIPMENT SALES EXECUTIVE
We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Ophthalmic Equipment Sales Executive to join our team and grow sales across the assigned territory.
The successful candidate will build strong relationships with ophthalmologists, optometrists, clinics, hospitals, and optical retailers, helping customers select ophthalmic equipment that meets their clinical and business needs.
You will manage the full sales cycle, deliver product demonstrations, and coordinate with clinical and technical teams to support customers before and after purchase.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet or exceed sales targets for ophthalmic diagnostic, refractive, surgical, and pre-testing equipment.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clinics, hospitals, practices, and optical retailers.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, lead qualification, product demonstrations, proposals, negotiations, and closing.
- Maintain an organized sales pipeline and provide regular updates on territory activities and sales forecasts.
- Demonstrate products and clearly explain their clinical features and practical benefits to eye care professionals and practice staff.
- Prepare and present clinical use cases and return-on-investment information to support customer decision-making.
- Represent the company at trade shows, professional events, academies, and local society meetings.
- Provide product and workflow training to practitioners and technicians.
- Support customers with basic workflow questions and assist with the adoption of newly installed equipment.
- Coordinate with field service engineers regarding installations, upgrades, and technical support.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience. B2B, healthcare, or medical device sales experience is preferred.
- Experience in ophthalmic equipment or the eye care industry is an advantage.
- A degree in Optometry is a plus. Relevant clinical, optical, or ophthalmic experience is also valued.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to understand customer needs and explain technical products in clear and practical terms.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working toward sales targets.
- Familiarity with ocular anatomy, diagnostic procedures, or eye care workflows is an advantage.
