Role overview
The Kitchen Operations Manager makes sure every Kitchen Avenue kitchen moves from production to a finished, invoiced installation on schedule. The role owns the delivery and installation calendar, internal stock movements, day-to-day coordination between departments, and project invoicing.
Key responsibilities
1. Delivery and installation scheduling
- Build and publish the weekly delivery and installation schedule, matching crews and vehicles to site readiness.
- Confirm site readiness with clients before dispatch: walls, floors, plumbing, electrical points, and appliance cut-outs.
- Assign installers by project complexity and track daily progress against plan.
- Handle reschedules, delays, and missing parts.
2. Internal deliveries
- Plan and track material and cabinet movements between the workshop, warehouse and showroom.
- Make sure every kitchen leaves complete: cabinets, worktops, hardware, accessories and appliances checked against the production list.
- Report damaged, missing or wrong items and follow them through to replacement.
3. Coordination between departments
- Act as the single point of contact between Design & Sales, Production, Purchasing, Warehouse and Accounting for each live project.
- Hold a weekly operations meeting to review the production pipeline, upcoming installations and blockers.
- Keep clients informed on delivery and installation dates in line with company email templates.
4. Invoicing
- Issue client invoices at each payment milestone (deposit, delivery, installation, handover) in the ERP.
- Track deliveries of Raw material internally and with third party suppliers.
5. Reporting and improvement
- Report weekly on installations completed, on-time rate, open snags and invoiced vs. outstanding amounts.
- Maintain project records in the ERP and company systems.
- Propose and roll out process improvements that cut delays, rework and site returns.
