Role Description The Rotogravure Printing Machine Operator – Tobacco Packaging is a full-time, on-site role based in Beirut, Lebanon. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring rotogravure printing machines used for tobacco packaging, ensuring efficient production and adherence to technical specifications. Daily tasks include preparing materials, adjusting machine settings, conducting routine inspections, and performing basic maintenance to maintain optimal performance. The operator will continuously check print quality, color consistency, and registration, making necessary corrections to meet quality standards and client requirements. The role also involves following safety procedures, coordinating with production and quality teams, documenting production data, and assisting in troubleshooting mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Ability to operate and monitor rotogravure printing equipment, with strong skills in Machine Operation and familiarity with industrial Machinery.
- Experience in Quality Control for printed packaging, including checking color, registration, and overall print consistency to meet defined standards.
- Competence in using Hand Tools for adjustments, minor repairs, and routine machine maintenance in a production environment.
- Effective Communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, maintenance teams, and quality assurance staff, and to report issues clearly and promptly.
- Prior experience in tobacco or packaging printing operations is highly beneficial, especially in rotogravure processes.
- Knowledge of production safety practices and willingness to adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Ability to work on-site in Beirut, Lebanon, including standing for extended periods and handling repetitive tasks in a high-volume production setting.
- Secondary education or technical diploma in printing, industrial production, or a related field preferred; on-the-job training experience in printing operations is an advantage.
