Primary Purpose of the Organization:The Department of Student Success advances retention and graduation by providing structured, intentional experiences for second-, third-, and fourth-year students, with a focus on academic engagement, resource navigation, and graduation planning. Primary Purpose of the Position:The Graduation Navigator is responsible for assisting students in all aspects of graduation. This position assists students with navigating the university’s academic policies, which will increase retention and graduation rates. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, individual advising sessions, assisting students with declaring and changing majors, academic progress discussions, development of academic goals, and directing students to campus resources to support academic success.
This position works with departments within the academic affairs and student affairs divisions, including admissions, financial aid, registrar, counseling center, student engagement, and department chairs.
The Graduation Navigator is required to know about all undergraduate university programs. The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of university academic policies and can recommend appropriate course substitutions or adjustments for every undergraduate degree program. The Graduation Navigator will meet regularly with Academic Advisors to remain knowledgeable of program requirements and any program changes. The Graduation Navigator will work with the Lead Student Success Coordinator and the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Success to develop programs and practices that will identify and correct challenges to degree completion.
This position is funded by non-state funding. Continuation of this position is contingent upon the continuing availability of those non-state funds.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Qualifications:
- * Master’s degree.
- Community college/University academic advising, academic coaching, or student success coaching experience
