Role Description The Tender Costing Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Amman, Jordan. This role is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing project drawings and specifications, collecting and evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotes, and developing cost breakdowns for materials, labor, equipment, and overheads. The Tender Costing Manager collaborates closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to clarify requirements, review tender documents, and manage deadlines. The role also involves monitoring market prices, identifying cost-saving opportunities, maintaining tender records, and supporting post-tender negotiations and clarifications.
Qualifications
- Strong background in construction costing, tender preparation, and estimation for commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects with experience in FIDIC Red Book and FIDIC Yellow Book.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, specifications, and contracts, with solid analytical and numerical skills.
- Experience working with estimation and project management software, as well as common office productivity tools.
- Ability to coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers, and to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Knowledge of local and regional construction market rates, regulations, and industry standards in Jordan and surrounding markets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
