Overall Objective of the Job:
The Team Leader leads and motivates a team of service advisors and technicians to ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service and efficient operations within the Service Department. The Team Leader is responsible for guiding the team, managing workflow, monitoring technical activities, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and coach a team of service advisors and technicians to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, including training, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
- Coordinate the daily workflow within the Service Department, assign tasks, and ensure the timely completion of repairs and maintenance work.
- Monitor team performance and productivity, identify areas for improvement, and implement appropriate actions to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as a point of contact for escalated customer inquiries, complaints, or service-related issues and ensure timely and satisfactory resolution.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure effective coordination and communication between the Service, Sales, and Parts Departments.
- Maintain accurate records of team performance, service transactions, and customer interactions using the dealership management system.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by promoting teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, technical service procedures, and industry developments to effectively support team members and customers.
- Uphold company policies and procedures and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and safety standards.
- Ensure completion of all tasks listed on vehicle job cards and sign off on maintenance and repair requests as required.
- Prepare and sign off on technicians' man-hour records on designated job cards at the beginning and completion of each job, including documentation of any non-productive time.
- Investigate returned jobs, repeat repairs, or unsatisfactory maintenance work and submit the required report to the Direct Supervisor.
- Submit all required technical and service reports to the Direct Supervisor on a daily basis.
- Perform any additional related tasks as requested by the Direct Supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Educational Level / Required Certificates: Diploma in a related technical or automotive service field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a related position.
- Fluency in English language is required.
