Role Description The Staff Nurse role is a full-time, on-site position based at MIA International Specialized Clinic in Masqaţ, Oman. The Staff Nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions aligned with clinic protocols. Daily responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, assisting with procedures, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and coordinating with physicians and allied health professionals. The Staff Nurse will educate patients and families on treatment plans, postoperative care, and health promotion, while ensuring infection control and safety standards are consistently followed. The role also involves participating in multidisciplinary meetings, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and mentoring less experienced team members when needed.
Qualifications
* Valid nursing license/registration and completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing).
* Proven clinical nursing experience in hospital or clinic settings, preferably in specialized or multi-disciplinary care.
* Strong patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical documentation abilities, with attention to detail and safety.
* Knowledge of infection prevention, patient safety protocols, and evidence-based nursing practices.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with patients, families, and diverse healthcare teams.
* Ability to manage multiple patients, prioritize tasks, and work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic medical records or clinical information systems.
* Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, continuous learning, and participation in training or professional development.
* Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by clinic operations.
* Previous experience in international or multicultural healthcare environments is an advantage; proficiency in English required, Arabic language skills are a plus.
