We are expanding our Electrical Engineering Design Team in Dubai and looking for an experienced Senior Primary Electrical Design Engineer with strong hands-on experience in HV/EHV substation design.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform primary electrical design for HV/EHV substations (132kV, 220kV and 400kV).
Prepare AIS/GIS equipment layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD) and general arrangement drawings.
Develop substation earthing, lightning protection and cable layout designs.
Perform electrical design calculations and equipment sizing.
Prepare technical specifications, equipment datasheets and BOQs.
Coordinate with civil, structural and secondary design teams.
Review vendor drawings and technical documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of relevant electrical engineering design experience.
Proven hands-on primary design experience in HV/EHV substations is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of AIS/GIS substations and IEC/IEEE standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant electrical design tools.
GCC/UAE substation design experience is highly preferred.
Candidates currently based in the UAE will be prioritized.
⚠️ Important: Candidates with only electrical site installation, maintenance or testing & commissioning experience, without actual substation primary design experience, will not be considered.
