RAK Medical and Health Sciences University (RAKMHSU) invites applications from accomplished assessment professionals to join its Office of Academic Assessment and Evaluation as Senior Manager - Assessment.
This is an opportunity to lead a dedicated team and strengthen academic assessment and examination practices while advancing digital innovation and the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) in a dynamic health sciences university.

Qualifications
Applicants must hold:
- A master’s degree (minimum) in Education / Medical Education, Educational Measurement, Management, Assessment, Curriculum, Institutional Effectiveness, Educational Psychology, or a closely related discipline
- A doctoral degree, along with relevant professional certification or formal training in assessment, psychometrics / educational measurement, project management, data analytics or AI implementation, would be an advantage.
Experience requirements
- At least fifteen years of relevant professional experience in higher education, academic assessment, quality assurance, institutional effectiveness, educational measurement, examination management, or a related area.
- At least five years in a senior management, leadership or supervisory role within a higher education institution or university
Applicants should also demonstrate:
- Hands-on experience in item analysis, question-bank management, results processing and examination quality assurance, with knowledge of blueprinting, standard setting, assessment governance and examination security
- Experience leading digital process improvement, with proficiency in assessment software, student information systems, learning management platforms and statistical analysis
- Knowledge of responsible AI use and governance, including data confidentiality, bias risks and human oversight, with the ability to evaluate AI pilots and train staff in approved administrative and analytical uses. Experience integrating AI or data analytics into higher education assessment operations is preferred.
- Strong leadership, coaching, collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to manage change, interpret assessment data and work extended hours during examination periods
- Experience in a medical or health sciences college, or with international or licensing examinations such as NBME, will be an added advantage
