Role DescriptionWe are seeking a responsible, alert, and well-organized Security Supervisor / Security Coordinator / Security Operations Supervisor to support the effective coordination and daily operation of security activities. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and well-controlled environment while ensuring that security procedures, operational standards, and company policies are consistently followed.
The role involves coordinating daily security operations, assigning duties, monitoring security personnel, and ensuring that required posts and patrol areas are properly covered. The successful candidate will help maintain clear communication between security teams, management, employees, visitors, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include supervising security personnel, coordinating shift schedules, monitoring attendance and deployment, conducting routine site inspections, and ensuring that security procedures are followed correctly. The position may also involve briefing security teams before shifts and communicating important instructions, updates, and operational requirements.
The Security Operations Supervisor will monitor access control procedures, visitor management, entry and exit points, restricted areas, keys, identification systems, and other security measures. Any unusual activity, safety concern, policy violation, or security incident should be identified, documented, and escalated through the appropriate channels.
The role will also coordinate responses to incidents such as unauthorized access, disturbances, property damage, suspicious activity, emergencies, and other security-related situations. The successful candidate should remain calm under pressure, follow established procedures, and coordinate effectively with relevant personnel when immediate action is required.
Accurate reporting is an important part of the position. Responsibilities may include preparing daily security reports, incident reports, shift handover notes, inspection records, attendance reports, and other operational documentation. Records should be complete, factual, organized, and submitted in a timely manner.
The position may also support CCTV monitoring, alarm systems, emergency response procedures, fire and life-safety coordination, security equipment inspections, and communication with external security service providers where applicable.
The Security Coordinator will work closely with management and other departments to identify potential security risks and recommend practical improvements. This may include reviewing procedures, improving access controls, coordinating drills, supporting emergency preparedness, and ensuring that security resources are used effectively.
Professionalism, discretion, communication, and sound judgment are essential. The successful candidate should be capable of enforcing security procedures respectfully while maintaining a professional relationship with employees, visitors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- * Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Security Management, Risk Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
