Role Description The Scaffolding Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar, responsible for overseeing all scaffolding activities on assigned projects. Day-to-day tasks include supervising scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling, ensuring that all work complies with relevant safety standards, client requirements, and company procedures. The role involves planning and allocating resources, coordinating with site management and other trades, and conducting inspections to verify scaffold stability, load capacity, and safe access. The Scaffolding Supervisor will monitor work at height operations, enforce fall protection measures, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain accurate records of scaffolding materials, permits, and inspections. The role also includes training and guiding scaffolders and labor teams, reporting hazards or incidents, and supporting continuous improvement of site safety and productivity.
Qualifications
- * Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team coordination, task allocation, and performance monitoring.
- Candidates should possess Scaffolding expertise, including safe erection, modification, inspection, and compliance with relevant standards.
- Candidates should possess skills in Dismantling scaffolds safely and efficiently, with attention to material handling and site housekeeping.
- Candidates should possess proven capability in Working at Height, including adherence to safety procedures and use of appropriate equipment.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Fall Protection systems, including selection, use, and inspection of harnesses, lifelines, and guardrails.
- Relevant scaffolding certification (e.g., CISRS or equivalent) and work-at-height training are highly beneficial.
- Experience in industrial, oil and gas, or infrastructure projects, preferably within Qatar or GCC, is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of HSE regulations, risk assessment, and incident reporting, with the ability to communicate clearly with diverse teams.
- Ability to read and interpret scaffold drawings and plans, with basic technical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in demanding site conditions and collaborate with multi-disciplinary contractors and stakeholders.
