Role Description The Rigging Supervisor and Truck Pusher is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar. This role oversees rigging and lifting operations, ensuring all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Schlumberger procedures and local regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning rigging tasks, supervising lifting crews, coordinating the use and inspection of lifting equipment, and managing truck and transport operations on site. The role requires monitoring work at height activities, conducting toolbox talks and safety briefings, and maintaining accurate records of operations, inspections, and incident reports. The Rigging Supervisor and Truck Pusher also collaborates with field engineers, logistics teams, and HSE personnel to optimize workflows and minimize operational risks.
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills, including the ability to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary crews in field operations.
- Proficiency in rigging practices and lifting operations, with a solid understanding of safe load handling and lifting plans.
- Knowledge of lifting equipment selection, inspection, and maintenance, ensuring tools and equipment are fit for purpose.
- Experience working at height, with familiarity in fall protection systems and adherence to relevant safety standards.
- Relevant technical certification in rigging, lifting operations, or crane and hoist operations; additional HSE certifications are an advantage.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, risk assessment, and incident prevention in oil and gas or heavy industrial environments.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, complete documentation accurately, and work effectively with diverse teams.
- Previous experience in a similar supervisory role within the energy, construction, or industrial sector, preferably in onshore or offshore operations.
